Solitario 1982: A new icon of engagement
To mark the opening of our new flagship store at Serrano 42, we are introducing the 1982 solitaire. A new icon of commitment whose name pays homage to the year we opened our first boutique in Madrid, marking the beginning of our expansion.
One of the greatest values that has accompanied us throughout our history as a jewelry house is undoubtedly commitment. Thanks to the expertise of our master artisans, the unique design of our jewelry, and the exclusivity of our raw materials, we have created authentic icons recognizable by all lovers of contemporary luxury.
A moment as important as the opening of our new flagship store at 42 Serrano Street has reminded us how this unique location in Madrid became our first home outside of our hometown of Bilbao when the Suárez family decided to expand the project in 1982.
That's why we've decided to name our solitaire this year, giving life to a new icon: El Solitario 1982. A design that adds to the imagery of Suárez's commitment to pay a well-deserved tribute to Madrid's Serrano Street, to our new boutique at 42 Serrano Street, and to the vision of Don Benito and Don Emiliano Suárez, who at the time decided to go a step further to evolve the brand to the point we are at today.
The setting of the 1982 Solitaire is handcrafted from 18K gold. A central rib separates two rows of brilliant-cut white diamonds on its arms. This is a clear nod to the balance we maintain between staying connected to our origins while also keeping our eyes on the future.
As its name suggests, the arms of this solitaire lead directly toward a central gemstone, which in this case is one of our exceptional diamonds. A gemstone that, with its unmistakable brilliance, completes the concept of this very special new design, which, from now on, joins our world of engagement as a great icon of the house.
Welcome to the new 1982 Solitaire: a year, a tribute, and now, a new icon.
