Join us on a journey through the history of Suarez in the Compromiso and the decades-long evolution of the solitaire 3006 as a great icon of the house.
The solitaire is undoubtedly one of the great timeless classics of jewelry that has accompanied us for 80 years of history. As its name indicates, this ring is composed of a single central diamond as the protagonist.
Although this diamond usually appears in brilliant cut, we can find it in other cut options. In some models it can also be surrounded by a diamond border or incorporate this same precious stone in the arms of the jewel.
Although there are many solitaire models, the most recognizable by Suarez is undoubtedly the 3006. An evolution of the classic design adapted to the present moment.
Its white gold arms narrow slightly to elevate the central brilliant-cut diamond to its maximum expression, while six discreet claws surround it to reveal all its splendor. A solitary that is pure light.
The story of Suárez and the commitment begins in 1943, when solitaires were made in white gold and platinum, with fantasy borders that were very trendy at that time.
Later, in 1960, the design underwent a radical change, its arms were extremely thin at the top and very wide at the bottom. At this point the diamond appears, set very high and with eight claws.
In 1970 the design changed radically, the diamond setting was much lower and the design now had 6 claws.
In the 1980s the setting became yellow gold, the diamonds appeared in chaton shapes, and the silhouette of the arms was much more rounded and voluminous.
In the 90s the setting mixed white gold in the chaton that sets the diamond and the outside of the setting is in yellow gold. The solitaires at this time are given a much greater volume and thickness.
In 2003, our iconic 3006 solitaire was born in white gold and with six claws that manage to bring out the maximum brilliance of our diamonds. The arm of the rings is a little thicker and square.
In subsequent years the design is refined, the arms become softer and rounder. Much more prominence is given to the claws, thicker than in their previous designs, and the setting is slightly lowered.
In 2016, the bands began to be refined and the setting was lowered even further to give greater prominence to the central gem.
From 2018 to the present, the solitaire 3006 manages to give maximum prominence to the raw material. The profile of the jewel makes a slight curve as the setting rises towards the diamond to enhance the brilliance of the stone.
